STEP LOGIC will present digital transformation solutions at Cisco Connect 2019

22 March 2019

Moscow, 22 March 2019. STEP LOGIC will demonstrate innovative solutions, which were developed jointly with Cisco Systems, at the Cisco Connect 2019 conference, which will be held on 26–27 March 2019 at Expocentre Fairgrounds. The exhibition will be located in the Cisco World of Solutions demo zone.

In the Internet of Things exhibition area, STEP LOGIC will present solutions in the field of industrial safety and labour protection based on the unified IoT platform Cisco Kinetic:
● System for monitoring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by a person;
● Industrial collision avoidance system.

RFID technologies enable stocks of required clothes and protective equipment to be monitored and managed. If an employee is missing even one item of personal protective equipment required by their job specification, an alarm is raised.

The collision avoidance system at industrial facilities allows eliminating the collision of vehicles with employees. The system includes an antenna for equipping identification points, a stationary RFID reader for gathering information from RFID tags, a monitor in the vehicle cabin, and a cloud service for aggregating information from system kits.

Moreover, in the interactive area of the exhibition, STEP LOGIC specialists will present a separate stand dedicated to BIM modelling and VR (Virtual Reality). BIM model-based VR is the next step in the digital transformation of design and construction.

Visitors to the stand will be able to see the virtual platform of the logistics centre project implemented by STEP LOGIC, take a stroll through its territory, go along the illuminated directional signs and get into the server room with engineering equipment.

BIM+VR technologies allow:

● Maximally immersing in the developed VR model and getting acquainted with all the solutions before the installation and release of drawings;
● Seeing and quickly changing the layout, design solutions, colour accents, lighting;
● Training employees on maintenance and repair of the engineering systems equipment, the server directly in VR;
● Working out a standard procedure for personnel actions during the inspection, maintenance and repair of equipment, as well as in emergencies.

Cisco Connect is one of the largest ICT forums in the CIS, which annually gathers top managers of major IT companies, managers and specialists of IT departments, representatives of the business community, students and journalists. This year, Cisco Connect's motto is Surfing the Digital Wave.

The event participants will see the real projects of digital transformation, as well as Cisco digital architectures, which form new sources of income and open up new opportunities for growth.
