STEP LOGIC's employees have been awarded by the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation for their active participation in the Preparation and Holding of the XXIX Winter Universiade 2019 in Krasnoyarsk project.

Vadim Kudryavtsev, Director of Business Development, was awarded an honorary diploma of the Ministry. Dmitry Belous, Lead Project Manager of the Kazan Branch, and Ruslan Gayfutdinov, Lead Engineer of the Sales Support Department of the Kazan Branch, received commendations of the Ministry.

The award ceremony was held at the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation. It was conducted by Oleg Pak, State Secretary—Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation.

The International University Sports Federation (FISU) recognised the Universiade in Krasnoyarsk as one of the best in the history of the Student Games. Over 320 thousand spectators and fans attended the Universiade competitions and cultural events. The Universiade set a record for the number of participating countries—athletes from 58 countries fought for awards in 11 sports.

Preparations for the Universiade 2019 began a few years before it. In 2015, the Kazan branch of STEP LOGIC was involved in the development of a system project for ICT infrastructure for all sports and administrative facilities for international competitions, including hotels, hospitals and the airport. The Company's employees designed a set of IT and engineering systems, including backbone network, wired and wireless data networks, information security system, primary and backup data centres, access control system, video surveillance, telephone communications, etc. The project was implemented in just two months, which is a record short time.

In addition, the Kazan branch of STEP LOGIC took an active part in the project aimed at increasing the productivity of data centres, as well as in the launch and maintenance of wired and wireless network infrastructure at more than 40 facilities of the Universiade.

'Step by step, STEP LOGIC has expanded its competencies in the design and construction of the IT landscape and security systems for global competitions. The Company took part in projects within the framework of the Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, the World Summer Universiade in Kazan, the Sochi Olympics, the 2015 World Aquatics Championship and the 2018 FIFA World Cup. And in 2019, it was involved in the Student Games in Krasnoyarsk. Dozens of sports and administrative facilities that are located at great distances from each other, a large fleet of the latest equipment, unique software solutions and architecture require our employees to have strong competency and ensure a lightning-fast response to constantly arising non-standard tasks. Such projects temper the character of the team and contribute to professional and personal growth', commented Vadim Kudryavtsev on this project.
