Award Ceremony of the Winners of the Global CIO Project of the Year Contest with support of The Union of Russian CIOs (SoDIT)

On January 26, STEP LOGIC received the Global CIO Project of the Year 2016 Award in the nomination of the Best Regional Project of the city of Moscow for designing and constructing a sophisticated IT infrastructure of the Multifunctional Migration Centre State Budgetary Institution (MMC SBI). The project customer was the Department of Information Technologies of the city of Moscow (DIT).

As part of the project, the local area network of the centre building was constructed ensuring connection of 9,000 workstations of users of various information systems. The network created is a reliable transportation basis for data traffic and real-time traffic, access to external networks (Internet) and remote resources. The network was created using the advanced technology solutions and equipment which ensure improved reliability taking into consideration the requirements and features of operation of the information systems of the centre.

Information about the Global CIO Project of the Year contest:

The contest is held by the official CIO community of Global CIO with the support of the Union of Russian CIOs (SoDIT). The key feature of the Project of the Year contest is that achievements are assessed directly by the CIOs themselves using online voting based upon a balanced methodology for project evaluation created by the industry experts and approved by the IT community. As of the end of 2016, over 200 projects from Russia and the CIS countries were submitted in three nominations: the best solution in the domain, the best industry solution and the best regional project. Almost 1,600 votes were cast for the solutions submitted to the contest.
