International project of creating the telecommunications infrastructure of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), 2011-2016
International project to increase the capacity of the pipeline passing through the territory of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Within the framework of the project, a new telecommunications infrastructure is being created to operate the pipeline control system (SCADA), which provides dispatch control, management and monitoring of the operation of crude oil pumping processes. The communication system is based on the use of a single integrated set of technical means of data transmission, telephone and satellite communications, as well as radio communications. The created communication system provides secure data transmission between all pipeline objects and the functioning of all technological systems. The communication system covers more than 200 sites. Within the framework of the project, a solution for data transmission network, data transmission safety and network monitoring systems was developed, corresponding to the increased requirements of international standards, full-scale testing was carried out, stage-by-stage implementation was put into commercial operation.
