Building and developing an integrated DPC data transmission network for the Department of Information Technologies of the Government of Moscow, 2011-2014
Project solutions were developed and a data transmission network was built as a part of the complex project to create an Integrated Data Storage Centre. The network infrastructure of the data processing centre is based on cutting-edge, latest-generation architecture that ensures the connection of computing resources and transmission of information from video cameras of the Safe City system (over 250,000) for storage.
The data transmission system was designed with a capacity to process traffic at the rate of 200 Gbps. Monitoring and management functions were set up, solutions to ensure information security were provided. In order to achieve high performance, reliability, manageability and scalability, the hierarchical design of the network infrastructure with separation of levels and units performing rigidly specified functions was applied.
In the course of the follow up project, the data transmission network was expanded in accordance with the requirements of the computing complex.
