Rapidly deployable solutions for non-contact body temperature measurement by STEP LOGIC

13 April 2020

Lately, employers have been required to measure employees' body temperature, and government agencies are obliged to measure the temperature of visitors and restrict entry for people with signs of illness.

There is a great diversity of products by various manufacturers on the market: from non-contact portable temperature meters to automated thermal monitoring systems with an automated human identification option.  We have prepared a set of solutions that can be deployed in a matter of days.

AUTOMATED THERMAL IMAGING SYSTEM

An ultimate solution for measuring body temperature of employees and visitors.

A thermal imager aimed at passing people automatically detects faces and measures the temperature of the forehead. Once a person with an elevated temperature is detected, a sound and light signal is produced.

Advantages of the solution

  • higher passenger flow capacity, group temperature measurement
  • optimised measurement accuracy, the margin of error within ±0.3 °С
  • no false positives, the imager only measures the temperature of the person's forehead
  • automated detection of people with elevated body temperature
  • light and sound indication
  • installation time: 30 min
  • detecting people with or without masks

The delivery set includes a hybrid thermal imager with optical and thermal imaging channels, blackbody calibration source, support stands, software for installation on a PC or laptop and an artificial intelligence video recorder (option).

ADDING TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT FUNCTION TO THE ACS

An automated solution for body temperature monitoring of employees in offices, at enterprises and production sites.

Access control systems are equipped with face recognition and temperature measurement modules. The system scans a face and measures temperature of a forehead. If the temperature is elevated, access is prohibited.

Operating features

  • a fully automated solution that does not require activities by an operator
  • storing data on persons with elevated temperature, notifying responsible executives
  • measurement precision ±0.5 °С
  • no false positives
  • light and sound indication

WALK-THROUGH METAL DETECTOR WITH A THERMAL IMAGING FUNCTION

Automated monitoring of body temperature at the entrance to various buildings and structures of transport infrastructure, public events, fitness centres, state institutions.
The system measures the temperature of the forehead of a person walking through a metal detector automatically.

Operating features

  • detecting persons with elevated temperature requiring no activities by an operator
  • light and sound indication
  • measurement precision ±0.5 °С
  • no false positives
  • an out-of-the-box solution

EMPLOYEE TIME TRACKING SYSTEMS WITH A TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT FUNCTION

A travel-size solution for monitoring the body temperature of employees in the service sector and representative offices of companies in the regions (banks, insurance companies, post offices, mobile network providers etc).

The solution involves floor-mounted or wall-mounted time tracking terminals capable of identifying an employee and measuring their temperature. Once a person with an elevated temperature is detected, a light and sound signal is produced, the data are stored in the system.

Operating features

  • detecting persons with elevated temperature requiring no activities by an operator
  • displaying the measured temperature
  • storing data on the health condition of employees, notifying responsible executives
  • measurement precision ±0.5 °С

MANUAL THERMAL IMAGER

A low-cost solution for temperature measurement of employees and visitors of micro-businesses and use in offices.

On a screen, a section of the image with an elevated temperature is highlighted, an operator concludes if additional monitoring is necessary.

Limitations on use

  • small capacity
  • operator activities required
  • no database for measurements
Key features

  • a plug-and-play device
  • can be mounted on a support stand
  • measurement at a safe distance (over 1 m)
